Albert Bauer: Endless Expression

Endless Expression is a short film and real-time showcase for the BMW M8 Gran Coupe. The project demonstrates that photorealistic automotive visualizations are achievable in real-time with modern raytracing workflows in Unreal Engine. The car configurator allows instant customization of paint color, wheels, ambient light, seat materials, and other interior elements without noticeable delay. Cinematic sequences with curated camera movements present the vehicle dramatically.

Responsabilidades

• •Implementation of the complete camera movement in Unreal Engine 5; iterative fine-tuning of all motion, cut, and timing parameters to emotionally support the BMW M8 design language
• •Development of the car configurator in Blueprint and C++ incl. UI logic, material switcher, real-time updates, and performance profiling
• •Optimization of raytracing settings for RTX hardware to guarantee min. 45 FPS at 4K resolution
• •Coordination of all audiovisual elements - from lighting moods to color grading to music timing - with focus on consistent brand aesthetics
• •Close collaboration with CGI artist Marina Bieber on look development, lighting setups, and material authoring, plus technical knowledge transfer to the production team
